![]() Same to the player retention there is nothing to glorify. ![]() On the Steam top seller List Rome 2 is placed around 50th (sometimes even lower), which is really odd for a one year old game and compared to Civ 5 or other strategy game available it is fairly low ranked. There is just a frontline of fans clashing against each other over and over, ironically similar to WW1 that started yesterday, and no one is winning something reasonable, yet CA is very slowly addressing the constructive feedback. There is no minority and there is no vocal minority. It would have been fun to see you as a winner of the TWC MP tournament winning Craigs price. While it is fun to argue with you sometimes you disqualify yourself by some postings, me blaming being incapable to play the game properly plus saying there is nothing wrong with the AI and naval battles just some hours ago. Rome 2 was a commercial success but fielding the player retention which is now 12-13% of the initial value of players is really optimistic. After the summer sale and the massive discount of 50-67% (which reflects a good and reasonable selling price for what you get imho) we are now again at the same level than before. During the Steam sale Rome 2 was played by 22k players (peak a same time). I dont see any long term ramification from Rome II at all. So how harmed were CA from Rome II? Bruised ego and a cut lip, which they have recovered from. Where the people who played it actively and experienced all those bugs and hiccups the game launched with were outraged and cursed DICE for rushing release, the people who are more casual with their Battlefielding is just seeing DICE man up take responsibility and patch the game up on game news webbsites, giving them extra prestige. It is also a sort of publicity opportunity just like it were for DICE. Rome II is the most commercially successful game yet with the highest number of player retention, the people being outraged today is the minority out of all that plays Rome II. Still, I think R2 has a very positive future ahead of, and if CA do what they are doing now, we may have something good in our hands. ![]() This game is playable for me with mods, not without. If CA got the political/campaign features done, then Rome 2's haters would shut up before you even think about it. Rome 2 is now getting better, what the game lacks is a need of campaign features. Maybe the forums are just better for them, because its easy, but for TWC, you would see hardly any CA member commenting! But they seem to have taken many suggestions from here as well. Though CA members tend to ignore these parts of the forum which I hate. I've posted boatloads, and they seem to have taken the feedback as well. Pounding on CA won't do any good, and many people on the forums have now begun to post their feedback to them which they have taken, showing from what patch 14 has done. They knew what they were doing and now its their job to fix it. Lets face it, had CA released a truly fully fleshed out Rome 2 on September the 3rd, there would have been not many complaints.
